Travel Report: Daegu, South Korea | Finnish |
How do you travel from a place to another?
Daegu is not the easiest city to move around, because a subway line from the
university to downtown is not ready yet. It will be complete some time after
2005. You can take a bus to downtown, but it takes about 45 minutes depending on
the traffic. You learn the most important bus numbers easily, but it's difficult
to know where to get off at the first time. Announcements are in Korean.
There is good time to travel around Korea in weekends. You can take a train to
Seoul, the capital of South Korea, but it takes 4 hours. It's cheap to travel by
train and students also get a small discount. Busan is the second biggest Korean
city on the south coast. It takes 1,5 hours to get there by train. It's easy to
travel around Seoul and Busan, thanks to an excellent subway system. |
