How high are the prices and how do you take care of the money issues?

The prices are cheaper than in North Europe, but not as cheap as countries like Thailand and China. Food and travelling are low-priced. Korean products are usually cheap, but imported products are as expensive as everywhere else. In the beginning you need about 500 euros for the dormitory fee and some for school books. After this, you don't need to spend much. School books are only about 10 euros each and there is no book in every course.

Korean currency is the won. At the moment euro is about 1400 won, so you need to count in thousands! There are a lot of ATMs everywhere, but almost always they are in Korean. You can get money with Visa and Visa Electron cards in Daegu Bank, which is located at the edge of the campus. You need to pay a lot when withdrawing money with Visa, but there are no extra fees when you buy with it in shops. Fortunately the international center helps everyone to open their own bank account. After transferring money there, you can withdraw free of charge. At night and in weekends you need to pay about 500 wons for a withdrawal.
