East-Asian Relations

The course is about the cold war and the time after the cold war. The most important issues were relations between South Korea and North Korea and how US, Japan, China and Russia have influence on the area. The most interesting topic was the situlation in North Korea. The teacher knows a lot about his subject and sometimes talks many hours about the same thing, and then it was difficult to stay awake. We had presentations of the chapters in a course book.

Personal Computer Application

You will learn to make your own homepage, at first with Microsoft Frontpage and later using HTML language. There is also simple Javascript programming involved. The problem is, that computers at the school all have Korean operating systems. It's difficult to learn using a program when you need to memorize the order of pressing certain buttons, instead of reading on the screen what the buttons are about. Still, you don't need to know anything about computers prior to taking the course. The page you are reading now, was made on this course.
