Korean Language (1)
This course is mandatory. You will learn the basics of Korean language and in
addition many different kinds of Korean customs. The teacher was really good at
getting everyone to study. She also took us to a restaurant a couple of times.
You don't need to know even Korean characters before the course, because it
begins with learning to read and write. You will learn to introduce yourself,
order food in a restaurant and ask a price in a shop. The only negative thing
was that classes were at 8am. and it was too early for the most exchange
students.
It's good to study a little on the winter vacation, so as not to miss
everything on the second Korean language course. The course is much faster than
the first one, and the teacher is talking mostly Korean. We try to have
discussions in Korean and write some short essays. Some students in our class
have studied Korean for a year already, so it's difficult to catch up.
