Korean Management
The course is about Korean economy's rapid development. We study different
Korean companies and also visit some. Exchange students' own business culture
is compared to Korean. There is a lot to read in this course, but it's usually
interesting and the teacher is good.
The book on this course is Kotler's Marketing Management, an asian perspective.
So, there is a lot to read! It's better to know some basics about marketing
before the course so that you can attend the discussion, but you can survive
also without any beforehand knowledge. You also have to explain your own
country's marketing issues.
Studying is based on discussion. It's good to know something about management
before this course to attend the discussion. Students make presentations about
current business issues. Some students dropped this course after a couple of weeks,
because they were mostly sleeping in class...
The course is about how Internet works and what kind of business opportunities
there are on the Internet. It was important to know about marketing, money
transferring, security and legality when doing business online. The course was
interesting and the teacher was good. There were only a few students on the
course, so it was common that the teacher asked about things in students' own
countries. There were lots of presentations on the course. As a project, we
made a business plan and a homepage for a company of our own. There was more
work on this course than on the others. |
