Flight Tickets and Travelling to Daegu

We bought flight tickets from Kilroy Travels. It's for the best to book them as soon as you know when you are travelling. A flight from Europe to Korea costs 500-600 euros. You have three ways to travel from Seoul International Airport to Daegu.

  1. A flight from Seoul to Daegu costs about 50 euros. The bad thing with this option is, that the domestic flight leaves from a different airport. You can take a taxi or a bus there. Beware of expensive taxi drivers who pick up people from inside the airport.
  1. You can take a train to Daegu. It takes 4 hours and costs about 10 euros. The new faster train takes 2 hours, but costs 30 euros. You can get to the railway station by bus, which takes one hour. This is not the easiest way with a lot of luggage.
  1. You can also take a bus to Daegu directly from the international airport. The price is 17 euros and you can buy a ticket on the airport after you arrive. This is an easy way and you can see the scenery on the way. The trip takes about 5 hours.

You can ask in advance that a student from Keimyung University comes to pick you up from the Daegu airport, railway station or bus station. You can also take a taxi. To get to the dormitory you need to say "Keimyung dehakyo kisuksaee ga juseyo". It took us 31 hours to get from our home to the dormitory in Korea. This includes 8 hours of waiting in Amsterdam to change the airplane.
